End of the Month Death toll August 2012
Did you really think I’d make it this far in the world of horror movie blogging? I didn’t think that at this point I’d be blogging to an audience of around 20 or 30, but look, there are people that actually like to read the site, even if I’m the worst movie reviewer since Jon Lovitz. This month’s winner of the Total Recall Blu Ray has been contacted and it will be sent via mail soon. Thank you for those that participated in our first major contest in a long time.
There are a few things I wanted to talk about before I give you the links from this past month’s writings, especially for those that are looking forward to see what else I’ll be doing for September.
Contest for September

For the month of September, if you leave a comment, email me, or like me on Facebook you will be entered in a drawing to win 1 Kindle Fire 2 ! That’s right, you will receive a Kindle Fire for your comments, likes, and whatever. This is no joke, you will be receiving a brand new Kindle Fire 2 to enjoy all the movie streaming, book reading, porn watching and web surfing that you can handle.
If you are out there and reading this, I need you. I need guest bloggers to network horror movie sites with and to present writings from. If you want me to be a guest I can do that too, but this is a call to my fellow horror movie fans. If you want to rant about anything, I will give you the forum to do so! Come on down and write for me!

I put up links to where you can purchase a lot of different things, and I could really use your help. If you are going to buy something already, go check out the deals and what not that I have listed, I will receive a cut, you will receive your goods at no extra cost and I can finally save up for that dot com and podcast for Scary Film Review. If not, that’s ok. I know times are tough.
The past Month
The past month I’ve upped the number of posts that I’ve made, and I’ve tried hard to keep this thing going. For September you can expect more of the same, and then some. I’m toying with double posts, but it probably won’t happen. I will however be posting more “articles” in regards to horror and what not, because I need the traffic and right now the readership is low, and would love to have more readers and eventually rent out a theater in Los Angeles for a special screening of “Silent Night Deadly Night”. Now that’s a dream….sadly.

August 2012 Scary Film Review Contest and More
What’s up people? I’ve been running on fumes lately, and that’s because I’ve been writing a lot for my official blog sirjorge.net, which you can visit whenever you’d like. It’s not a horror movie site at all, so don’t get freaked out by the content that has nothing to do with horror.
I wanted to start off August with a bang, and so I’m introducing something awesome. Every month I’m giving stuff away. Yes, that’s right, you can win stuff from Scary Film Review! This will run every month, and well, that’s that.
This is how you enter:
Leave a comment here, or on my Facebook Page (see the sidebar). Leave a comment, good or bad, and you’re entered into the contest.
Leave a comment, and that’s that.

This month, you will win TOTAL RECALL on BLU RAY. That’s right, you want all the non stop action featuring Arnold in his prime? Then leave me a comment. The winner will be selected at random at the end of the month when I do my end of the month post.

More Reviews
I am going to be posting a lot more reviews, and this time it’s real, it’s damn real. If you have suggestions, throw them at me, and I’ll try my best to get to them. I’ll be doing more reviews, more content, and lots more. I want to make this site produce far more than it has in the past, and I still dream of one day bringing the whole thing over to a dot com. Until then, all I have is this.
Scary Movie Podcast?
I have been throwing around the idea for quite sometime, but so far I don’t have the funds to get it done. Maybe one day we can do it, unless you out there have equipment and want to do a show. I’lll gladly help.
Until then, here are the posts from July 2012:

End of the Month Death Toll January 2011
January has come and went and it's interesting to note, I have reviewed more this month than many other months in the past few years. I even gave you guys a triple feature over the weekend, subjecting myself to some horror film. I hated it, you hated it, or liked it, I never really know.
Business
Before I give you a recap of links, I wanted to let you guys know a few things talk about somethings and just well, ramble. First and foremost, the ads are bother me personally. Over the weekend I spotted some ads on this site that I didn't like. I don't like the "russian brides" ad that keeps running. I also am not liking the ads that are being displayed that are just download links, I hate them.
Why have Ads? The reason that I have advertisements on my site is because I have no job, and I have to pay my student loans. I owe 40,000 dollars in student loans, and my degree hasn't really helped me in the city that I live in. In fact, it's been 17 months or so that I haven't had a job nor any income other than the ads that I get paid for on this website.
Yes, I know, I'm selling out for cheap, but what should I do? Let's talk about how much money I make from scary film review.
This month I've made $5. Thank you for that one person that bought DVD's with the links. I DO NOT REVIEW horror for the money, let's get that straight. I started this site when I had a good job and didn't need money so I never had ads in the way I have now, because I didn't need the money. Now I need the money so there's ads and more links.
What should I Do going forward? Should I stop? Do you readers care? Seriously, do you actually care? Should I stop? Does it get in the way? PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS
Comments. For any ladies out there that can't stand commenting, I'm sorry. For all you dudes that don't comment because I don't know, don't comment, COMMENT DAMN IT! Ok, i'm sorry, i just get lonely in the horror world.
You can also send me emails, dirty and non dirty, recommendations, anything at sirjorge at gmail dot com. I really would like to make any of you readers friends, and I am on aol instant messenger so send me your aim name and we can chat, nothing crazy, but I have time on my hands, and watch more horror than I can shake a stick at.
LEAGUE OF TEA DRINKERS & OTHER HORROR SOCIETIES
I don't know what I need to do to get your attention, but I've posted 500+ reviews and get NO love from the horror community. I can't get guest bloggers in, I can't get comments, I can't get screeners, I can't seem to do anything right in the eyes of the horror fans out there. I leave comments on horror blogs and NOTHING! No Love. Is the whole internet world of horror that miopic? Am I the most hated man in horror blogging?
Maybe I just am not as good as I think. I swear, I never said i was anything, so how can anyone expect me to be?
February Preview
I thought about doing a Black Horror Month since it is Black History month and I love Blaxploitation and Urban Horror. But I don't know if I could get enough of those movies to fill a full month. I'll be reviewing Children of The Corn for sure, and that's about it. I don't really have a map for next month. If you have any ideas, please let me know, please send me comments, suggestions, and let me try to review some films.
Alright, here are the movies I reviewed through January 2011:
Best Worst Movie Review
Tales From The Hood Review

New Comment Policy Starting Today
This time of the month I would traditionally write out all the comments, and then answer them in one large post, twice a month. I guess that's 2 posts, but whatever. Today was going to be one of those days where I painstakingly pine over all your comments, and we talk about the crap you guys are saying, and to be fair, some of it is in fact crap, total crap, but some of it is actually rather entertaining.
The new comment policy defined
This is how it's going to work, since I get such a large amount of comments and I don't want to copy and paste a million comments every 15 days, I'm going to be allowing you guys to just go nuts and comment whenever you'd like, as you've been doing.
The Difference being that I will be commenting in posts, rather than putting them on the front page. I will then see about adding a widget in the sidebar to announce the newest comments, so that you can go over there and talk random trash or bs your way into a conversation of a million comments.
That being said, the comments that were left from November 30th - December 14th will now start getting replies from me, so you'll have to back track or wait for the widget.
This comes only because I've been getting far more comments in my inbox than I choose to compile and talk about in the posts, so lucky you, you get real time commentary from me, because I still have no damn job and not even a reply.
Thanks again for your patience.

From The Mailbag End of November 2010 Edition
From the mailbag is back once again, only because we're a couple of posts away from the end of the month. Before I dive into your feedback, I want to make sure you guys were aware of a couple of quick things.
First and foremost, this December I will NOT be doing a "holiday of horrors" like I did last year. If you have forgotten, last year I wrote reviews specifically in the "holiday horror" category, and this year I'm not going to do that. But I will be doing reviews, so stay tuned.
Secondly, on a personal note, I still haven't found any type of employment. With that being said, if you deem it necessary to purchase movies and media this holiday season, please utilize the amazon links found on this page, to do so. Thank you.
Now, for the comments, and a few of my own zingers, but mostly you guys. Jervaise, some of your comments don't really require my response, as there is nothing more to say.
Anonymous said in regards to my "Silent Hill Review":
You're crazy! I Love silent hill!
Nope. You're wrong.
jervaise brooke hamster said in regards to my "Wind Chill Review":
I want to bugger Emily Blunt in her arse not her cunt...HA..HA..HA..(as she was in 2001 when she was 18, not as she is now obviously) its just such a shame thats shes British rubbish. By the way, i actually thought that "Wind Chill" was rather cosy, soothing and even perhaps kinda` charming in certain ways and i think it might achieve a cult following or even become a Christmas favorite for those reasons.
I highly doubt it will be a cult following induced film, in fact, but I'm usually wrong.
Anonymous said in regards to my "Silent Hill Review":
I don't like your opinion on silent hill. You must be really boring.
I am boring, that's why I write a blog and you leave "anonymous" comments.
Anonymous said in regards to my "Silent Hill Review":
The first time i saw this movie, i was sitting alone. what i wasnt excpecting was the town being silent hill. however, this wovie inspired me to write my own silent novel based on a young boy. Silent hill is an amzaazzzzzing movie! ~16 year old girl~
When I was 16, I had already seen all the British film industries finest, and therefore my taste was terrible. Apparently, yours is too.
jervaise brooke hamster said in regards to my "REWIND: Take Me Down To Nightmare City Where The G...":
The thing i like most about Italian horror films is that they`re not British.
Hahah, come on man, come on! There's more to like than just that.
jervaise brooke hamster said in regards to my "Final Stab Review":
Sir Jorge, google "Lisa Phillips Vintage Porn" as well, she was pretty amazing too (although not as incredible as the astonishing Miss Hickey obviously) its just a shame she is British. By the way, i think Pauline is Irish so thats not quite as bad thankfully.
I see...I see.
jervaise brooke hamster said in regards to my American Werewolf in London review:
I`ve always regarded "An American Werewolf In London" as one of the most ludicrously over-rated horror movies in the history of cinema (and not just because it was shot in England, although that doesn`t help things either obviously). "The Howling" (released around the same time) is 100 times better. Why couldn`t the werewolf have been in New York or Tokyo or Berlin or Los Angeles or..or..any-fucking-where except fucking London? then it would have been a much better movie.
Sir Jorge, i was just looking at the cast list of the latest Harry Potter movie and seeing the names of all that British filth literally made me want to vomit, BLOODY BRITISH GARBAGE. By the way, i want to bugger Emma Watson even if she is British rubbish.
Your consistency on the topic of anti-London and all this British is astounding. I still want to visit the place.
The World of Lurlene Mcdaniel said in regards to my "Return To Cabin By The Lake Review":
I hate this movie for the fact that once again that creepy fucker is still alive.
i mean wtf.
i love judd nelson though, idk why but i guess it was because he was so awesome in that tales from the crypt episode "what's cookin" where he played that sidekick cook named gaston, who would slaughter people and cook them. Disturbing, but i liked the character he played in that film.
Hmm...Nelson in Tales from the Crypt? I'll have to check it out. This movie though, terrible, I can't believe I sat through it and the sequel.
jervaise brooke hamster said in regards to my "Silent Hill Review":
"Silent Hill" was a real surprise to me because i genuinely thought it was one of the best films i`ve ever seen (literally). By the way, i want to bugger Radha Mitchell (as she was in 1991 when she was 18, not as she is now obviously). I just realised Jodelle Ferland just turned 16 so 2 years from now i`ll be desperately wanting to get my knob up her bum as well.
The best? Wow, that's a new low.
jervaise brooke hamster said in regards to my "REWIND: Ghoulies II Review":
Sir Jorge, i wonder if the British film industry could ever produce anything as good as "Ghoulies II"?, i very much doubt it !!!.
jervaise brooke hamster said in regards to "Return To Cabin By The Lake Review":
I just visited lurlene`s site and although she obviously isn`t 18 i`d still love to bugger her senseless.
jervaise brooke hamster said in regards to my"An American Werewolf in London Review":
So that Potter garbage made $125 million dollars in its opening week-end, the American movie going public should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for encouraging this British made celluloid dog-shit (and for 10 years now as well), you`d have thought that they would have realised what a pile of shit Harry Potter was 20 minutes into the first movie but here they are 10 years later still buying into what is the most pathetic and laughable franchise of all time, its beyond my comprehension how such a vast number of people can allow themselves to be conned for so long by such unwatchable rubbish.
It might be unwatchable for us, but apparently 100+ millions of dollars worth of tickets were sold.
jervaise brooke hamster said in regards to my"Final Stab Review":
Sir Jorge, have you seen that incredible bird who runs that horror movie reveiw site called "Mermaid Heather"?, the birds called Heather Santrous and i think the bird is one of the most gorgeous little darlin`s i`ve ever seen.
I see...hmm...It's on my radar.
The World of Lurlene Mcdaniel said in regards to my "REWIND: Santa's Slay Review":
dude, I love Santa's slay. That movie was awesome.
i remember first watching it on fear net all the way and ever since then, I immediately fell in love with the movie. Everything you said is true, and i gotta say, bill goldberg was great playing evil santa claus.
don't forget, the chick who played the female protagonist also played evil bitchy Chris farguson in the remake of carrie (2002).
Yes, it's one of the rare Holiday Horror film gems. I'll have to rewatch Carrie from 2002.
jervaise brooke hamster said in regards to my "REWIND: A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Reve...":
The pansy queer bullshit in this movie completely spoilt it for me, dirty faggots they always spoil every film they`re involved with. By the way, i hate Robert Englunds surname (for obvious reasons).
jervaise brooke hamster said in regards to my "REWIND: Silver Bullet Review":
2 things i like about Stephen King: Hes heterosexual and he isn`t British.
jervaise brooke hamster said in regards to my "They Call Her One Eye Review":
I want to bugger Christina Lindberg (as she was at the time this movie was made, not as she is now obviously).
jervaise brooke hamster said in regards to my "Puppet Master Review":
Have you seen that episode of the old T.V. show "Night Gallery" called "The Doll" (originally shown in 1970)?, its ludicrously and laughably primitive by todays standards but i still find it strangely unnerveing whenever i watch it.
Yes! I love Night Gallery, it's one of my favorite shows from that era, or any era for that matter.

it's been a while since i've last seen this film. Luckily i recorded it on tape while fear net was playing it. I miss the slasher films of the 80's and before.
Night of the demons was a good film. And i don't think your racist at all and you do have a point there.
I have the remake screener I need to review, I'll get to it in December.

Sir Jorge, is your fiancee a hot chick?, maybe you could post a picture of her.
My fiancee was so hot, I married her in 2006. No pics will be posted, sorry.
jervaise brooke hamster said in regards to my "Brotherhood of Blood Review":
Sir Jorge, i dont care how bad it supposedly is "Brotherhood of Blood" is still 100 times better than anything the British film industry has ever produced (or could ever dream of producing), just another reminder to keep you well away from British garbage.
jervaise brooke hamster said in regards to my "REWIND: The Omen IV: The Awakening Review":
It may have been made for television but i`d rather watch "O-girl IV: The Awakening" in a cinema than any of that British made Harry Potter garbage any day of the week, just to put into perspective again what a laughable pathetic joke the British film industry really is.
I'm right there with you.

Alice Cooper is a bloody load of old rubbish although what redeems him slightly is his rampaging heterosexuality and the fact that he isn`t British.

It was ok at best.
That's the end of this months comments. I'm broke, and well broke. I'll review more in the coming month, including some interesting independent film a UK screener, and much more coming your way. If you have a few extra pennies, support the blog and me by visiting amazon links I post.
Support this blog by visiting the Scary Film Web Store here.

End of the Month Mailbag September 2010 Edition
The end of the month brings us a lot of mail, or rather comments, to posts that I've managed to write, even though I'm sick, jobless, and dead tired. I appreciate all comments, so keep em coming, good or bad, I love em, and here's the end of the month mailbag...then in a couple of days, a recap of all the crap I did, and then all sorts of other crap in the October edition of this wonderful blog that all 3 of you read.
oliver syngen-mollusc said in regards to my "Child's Play 3 Review":
Those bloody British wankers couldn`t produce something as entertaining as "Childs Play 3" if their bloody lives depended on it.
Like one of my favorite singers once said..."you could be wrong you could be right".
simon zinc trumpet-harris said in regards to my "Scream Review":
"Scream" is one of the most ludicrously over-rated piles of garbage in the entire history of cinema.
That's a big thing to say. So big, that I can't come up with an equal response. Maybe you too are right.
Lana said in regards to my "Child's Play 3 Review":
You know, I was talking to my boyfriend a couple of nights ago about this film. I told him the same thing you've stated; Jack Bender and Don Macini should have stopped at the second movie.
You mentioned that the adults were getting killed left and right; where as the children were holding their own. I think that happened mainly because the movie was centered around kids, and during those times kids weren't really killed, (not like today's movies).
Child's play 3 is exactly that- childs' play.
Great review, keep up the good work.
Yes, the second one exploded chucky and everything, bringing him back was stupid. As for kids being killed? It wasn't until "Funny Games" where they really broke that rule. Sure there have been some kids in film getting the ax, but in Funny Games a kid takes a shotgun to the chest close range and bounces off a wall...that's a major taboo. In the film, "The Condemned" a man literally beats the crap out of a woman, which I found taboo for a long time as well. The two are related only because taboos in the 20th century are no longer taboo. Sure, there are foreign films that capitalize on that much more, but in recent years it seems that the shock value is no longer there, unless you're going to rape...and well..we all know that doesn't seem to be quite as unbearable as watching a kid get mopped up in a horror movie. No offense. I mean, does "Chaos" really have the same impact as say Child's Play? Probably not. Then again, I'm an adult male, so maybe I have the wrong perspective. Sorry for the tangent. The main point is, yes they should've stopped at 2. Thank you for your compliments, I'll keep reviewing :)
Cyberschizoid said in regards to my "Child's Play 3 Review":
Hmmm...this is the only Child's Play movie I haven't seen. Sounds like they definately improved after this one!
It's ok. It's better than "The Omen 3", just sayin.
Bleeding Dead said in regards to my "Child's Play 3 Review":
I personally think this is the worst out of the series (yeah I'm guilty of liking Bride and Seed). But I agree, the movie is just really bleak compared to it's ending.
Good review.
You're right on all accounts. The movie, to me, felt more like a "Fear Street" or "Goosebumps" novel than a horror movie, and that's not necessarily a great thing. I love R.L. Stine but this film should've been harder.
That concludes the end of the month commentary. I thought about doing a special thing for October and Halloween, but you know what? I don't care enough to do it. I am still looking for a job and just can't get anything, not even Mcdonald's has called me back. So once again I implore you to go to the amazon links and enjoy some horror movies and help me keep this site going, or rather, help me get another case of Ramen.

End of the Month Mailbag June 2010 Edition
The weekend had me watching the World Cup and nearly ripping my clothes in agony as my teams were trounced in the World Cup round of 16. I'm inclined to believe that the World Cup is fixed and/or rigged or something as there is no reason why these things should happen.
But alongside the agony of defeat is the agony of time wasted and not enough horror movies viewed for a Monday morning update, but that's ok, it's the end of the month and I get to dive into the mail bag.
Anonymous left a comment on my post "The Changeling Review":
It's rated R because it's fucking terrifying.
The movie was terrifying for the times, but it's actually not as harsh in today's standards. Sure there are creepy moments, but the slow burn takes a while to live up to the hype and the gore is not really all that good.
Joe has left this comment in regards to my review "Run Bitch Run Review":
Sounds crazy! Thanks for the review...
First and foremost, thank you for your comment. Yes, the movie is crazy and you're welcome for the review. Unfortunately, I had to delete your comment from my interior pages because it looked like Spam. Sorry Joe, you can't just go into business for yourself in the comments and try to squeeze some page rank juice.
That's it for the comments from the latter stages of this month.
There are a few things that you can do to help keep this site going, and eventually help me get a real dot com with a stronger blogging platform.
You can check out Amazon.com for online dvd's and more. Click here, bookmark it and use it. It won't cost you extra, and I'll get a fraction of a cent on each thing you buy. The money goes directly towards getting a domain name and hosting as well as more dvd's for review.
The second thing you can do is check out the Horror merchandise found at this link here. Officially licensed shirts from your favorite horror movies has to entice.
Lastly, send me your recommendations and comments and I'll answer them on the site and of course, watch and review whatever you request.

From The Mail Bag End of May 2010 Edition
Once again, I've been given a lot of comments, and I must reply. I've managed to have a nice month of movie reviews come down the pipeline, and despite the new ones, it seems that the old ones get more attention. That's fine with me, I post em for people to read.
Right now I'm watching a kung fu movie, as I'm taking a slight break from horror, but rest assured I'll have a new review on Wednesday.
For now, let us all look to the mail bag and see what's up with the comments on the second half of the month of may:
shel7 commented on my post, "The Changeling Review":
I LOVED the changling when I was little but I cant remember it now. I ordered the dvd and want to watch it with some friends - does it have a lot of language? I can't remember why it's rated R.
It's Rated R for gore, and language. I'm not sure if it's rated R for nudity as it's been a while. I do know that the film is long, and has some gruesome deaths. It's a good one to watch, but the pacing is tough.
Anonymous left a comment on my post "Cabin Fever 2 Review":
OMG i can not belive this movie is soo good you have to watch it
I'm assuming this is sarcasm. The movie sucked, and the main reason I wanted to see it was the continuation of the storyline, only to have it not be nearly as good as the first film.
Anonymous left a comment on my post, "Rest Stop 2: Don't Look Back Review":
this was a really bad movie! the first one was good they could have changed the ending to nicole having a dream and waking up and getting into the car with jesse and then the film fastfowards to everything that occured and the film should have cut to nicole screaming ! i love the first movie !
It's true, this film is terrible. I just can't believe I sat through most of it. I'm sick of these terrible straight to dvd movies, but I can't resist seeing them at least once.
That's it for the comments. I thought I had more, but apparently I didn't save them, or they got lost in my inbox.
If you have any suggestions as to what I should review/watch next, please send me a message. I'm always looking for new stuff and old stuff to watch and review. Coming up in the near future is a review of Manhater, followed by a review of some Asian Horror films.
Thanks for the comments, and all the support. I still have no job, and no money, in case anyone was wondering.

From The Mail Bag Mid May 2010 Edition
We are around half way through the month of May, and I've received quite a few comments, and wanted to use this forum to respond and say thank you to anyone that is leaving comments. I still have no job, and I still am watching horror whenever I can.
Angie said in regards to my Idle Hands Review:
Idle Hands is one of my faves! And now I'm curious about Population 436 so I'll have to look for it :)
Idle Hands was definitely a better movie than most people give it credit. I thought, if nothing else, it flowed easily through horror and comedy, without ditching either genre. As for Population 436? Well, that's hit and miss depending on who you are. I thought it had some seriously creepy "Twilight Zone" elements, and live in a small town, so it kind of sends chills up my spine.
Creepy said in regards to my post The Omen: 666 Review:
The only creepy thing about this movie was the cover.
Creepy, you're probably right. There wasn't enough sum of creepy moments to make the whole move that great. However, it had some great horror elements, if only flashes, to make it a little better than some of the other films I've reviewed.
Anonymous said in regards to my Pumpkinhead Review:
Pumpkinhead is VERY B-movie, but it's actually very interesting, at least to me. You have to consider the love of a father, and what he would do for his son. Then you have to think about how evil/scary Pumpkinhead must be for the father to have someone call him back.
This is definitely the best in the franchise. I can't believe they made sequels to this film. It has a relatively good revenge plot and some serious emotion for a B-Movie. I liked it. I saw it as a kid and loved it, and to this day, enjoy it quite nicely.

I hear ya man, I hear ya. I wish I had a shot...but nope...not even close.
Well folks, that's the end of this mid-month mail bag. I have been fortunate enough to be able to watch a few horror movies, despite the fact that I'm broke, have no job prospects and am not sure how I survive. But that's neither here nor there, enjoy the site, give me some suggestions, and I'll keep on keeping on.

The only creepy thing about this movie was the cover.
Creepy, you're probably right. There wasn't enough sum of creepy moments to make the whole move that great. However, it had some great horror elements, if only flashes, to make it a little better than some of the other films I've reviewed.

Yes. I hear you, yes. There's a sequel too....yep.

I want to bugger Ellen Page.
I'd have to agree with you on that note. She's not half bad.

From The Mailbag End of April 2010 Edition
As I stated last month, I'm doing these comment posts more often. I'd like to thank everyone that has left comments, and continues to support this site. I would one day like to have my own domain name and do all kinds of cool stuff, but I just can't do it right now.
I'm still looking for a job, and am having a hard time in my new city, but this site brings me about $2 a month so I haven't starved yet. Ramen is dirt cheap...that's all I can say about that.
Here are the comments for the second half of April.

That movie looks really stupid.
Thanks for the review, dude.
Honestly, it was a lot better than some of the other straight to dvd features that I've seen for this website. Thanks for the comment.
magicreation has left a comment on my post: "High Tension Review":
this movie is hardcore & brutal. the torture scenes are intense and that's why I loved it! the ending does have that WTF factor, but I don't feel it was tacked on. you defiantly need to watch the original French version. the American dubbed and edited version just doesn't cut it!!!
Terr
I liked the original version, I thought it was insane. I still love this film, even though many people disagree with the notion. The ending was a bit tacked on, but I loved the musical editing and the classic yellow car chase seen was just superb.
That's the end of the comments for this month, thanks again for commenting. I'm trying to get more film to review. If you guys have suggestions send them my way.

From The Mail Bag End Of March 2010 Edition
Alright kiddies, I've been getting more replies than usual, and getting hit with a lot of comments...which for once is awesome. So two things I'm going to say real quick before we get to the mail from you, the reader.
1. FREE DVDS AND CRAP: I'm going to be giving away stuff for those that comment. At the end of the month, I'll randomly select a name from a bag of names that comment, and unleash the prize patrol. All you have to do is comment, and wait. If I pick your name I'll announce the winner before the next MAIL BAG post as the first item of speech.
2. TWO TIMES MAIL BAG: I will be posting comments twice a month when the comments between 15 - 20 day cycles is more than 3 comments. Otherwise It'll just be once a month. Two times mail posts? Yeah, I want to make sure your voices are heard with my responses in a post...sue me.
So here you go, 15 Days of comments? I don't know...more since the last mailbag, which means I can finally clear my inbox.

This was a great and fun movie to watch. There is no way you can figure out what is going on while you are watching it.
I had no idea what was going on, nor what was on the camera. It didn't make sense to me at all, but the way the edited the swerves, twists, and turns to music, was brilliant. I enjoyed that quite a bit. I thought it was great, and I still say the movie was a tough horror/thriller to mess with.

You better be just kidding with regards to #5, and if somebody sends you one it is most certainly "NOT" repeat "NOT" fair game, it will instead be thrown straight into the garbage O.K.
Oh man, you're scary...but if it happens to fall on my lap, dude it's on, sorry. However, to be on your side, I rarely seek or find anything British. So me saying that it's fair game is like saying I'm going to strike it rich here in Moscow, Idaho...needless to say I'm unemployed and about to live on the streets...currently using free wifi at a coffee shop.

Its still 100 times better than anything that the British film industry has ever produced!!!
You're most likely right, I won't argue. Wait...did Nightmare City get a push from the British Film Group? If so, You got to admit, that was a good one. Keep me posted.
joanna responded to my REWIND: The Howling Review post:
It is because of this movie that I learned to love the werewolf movies, I can still remember how stunned I was every time I saw Eddie transforming himself. Though the film might have some emotional detailes, some cheesy ones too, it is actually based on a shattering idea: in each and everyone of us resides an animal side.
I actually like this first one better than most other wolf films. I think there's a frenetic pacing to the ending that really is hard to rival, even by bigger, better budgets.
That concludes today's comments (more like the last 15 days or so). I'll have more reviews coming down the pipeline, including some not so new horror movies, some interesting tidbits here and there, and a countdown of my top favorites.
Until then, please try the fish.
