Top 5 Best Selling Horror Blu Rays Right Now

In my quest to bring the horror, I also want to make sure that you guys are actively participating in the genre by purchasing movies and blu ray releases to help the continuation of the genre. After all, if you aren’t purchasing anything, the companies will eventually stop making the products. This is why many companies shut down like say, Cannon. Anyways, here are the top 5 best selling horror blu rays right now, pick them up with the links provided and please have a nice day.



Halloween 4 Blu Ray $19.99 – The Return of Michael Meyers is finally on blu ray and it looks amazing. The sequel to the original has more of a surreal gothic feel to it, and it is ramped up with gore and violence. This is a far cry from the second and third films in the series, and I for one am excited to see it released now.



They Live (Collector’s Edition) Blu Ray $19.99 – Roddy Piper breaks down the door of the science fiction world with this John Carpenter classic in which aliens are taking over. Paired with ammo and a pair of trusty glasses, he makes sure he’s kicking ass and chewing bubble gum.



The Cabin In the Woods Blu Ray $33.99 – This is the epitome of original horror movies in these modern times. More people were bugging me about this one than any other film in the last few years. I have yet to review it, but it’s on the old “to do list”. If you get your copy reserved now, you save a little coinage. Get it, and find out why this might be the best horror movie of the year.



Grimm: Season One Blu Ray $32.99 – I’m not a big fan of the show, but it is selling like hot cakes. This show takes the Grimm Fairy Tales and blows them out of the water with sinister twists and turns. I do recall liking a story arc involving a wolf…but I’ll leave it at that.



The Walking Dead: The Complete Second Season Blu Ray $48.99 – It took me a while to finally like this one, but wow, it really picked up in Season 2. The zombie genre is going to have a hard time trying to top this shows stories as it continually punishes the mind with both beautiful imagery and sickening gore.

Yes, you're right. The first one was great, and that's about it. The first "Scary Movie" was also great, but then...bad. It's true, sequels rarely do better or even are worth watching.

Yes, a copy cat killer with "NO" connection to the originals is far more scary than anything they created after the fact. Spot on, you're right.

I agree on most of your points. As a male, I love those chicks, and would love to get a chance...but as an unemployed idiot, I probably don't have much of a chance of anything. As for the British Film Industry? I'm destined to prove you wrong someday, I'm just not going out of my way to watch anything.

From The Mailbag Mid June 2010 Edition

We are at the mid-month point of June, which has been quite good for me. I've been watching the World Cup, and horror movies, trying to stay positive about life, since I have no job still.

So far not a lot has happened in the way of comments, but there was one person that was definitely up for a comment or two.

We are around half way through the month of May, and I've received quite a few comments, and wanted to use this forum to respond and say thank you to anyone that is leaving comments. I still have no job, and I still am watching horror whenever I can.

Idle Hands was definitely a better movie than most people give it credit. I thought, if nothing else, it flowed easily through horror and comedy, without ditching either genre. As for Population 436? Well, that's hit and miss depending on who you are. I thought it had some seriously creepy "Twilight Zone" elements, and live in a small town, so it kind of sends chills up my spine.

Creepy, you're probably right. There wasn't enough sum of creepy moments to make the whole move that great. However, it had some great horror elements, if only flashes, to make it a little better than some of the other films I've reviewed.

Pumpkinhead is VERY B-movie, but it's actually very interesting, at least to me. You have to consider the love of a father, and what he would do for his son. Then you have to think about how evil/scary Pumpkinhead must be for the father to have someone call him back.

This is definitely the best in the franchise. I can't believe they made sequels to this film. It has a relatively good revenge plot and some serious emotion for a B-Movie. I liked it. I saw it as a kid and loved it, and to this day, enjoy it quite nicely.
