End of the Month Death toll August 2012
Did you really think I’d make it this far in the world of horror movie blogging? I didn’t think that at this point I’d be blogging to an audience of around 20 or 30, but look, there are people that actually like to read the site, even if I’m the worst movie reviewer since Jon Lovitz. This month’s winner of the Total Recall Blu Ray has been contacted and it will be sent via mail soon. Thank you for those that participated in our first major contest in a long time.
There are a few things I wanted to talk about before I give you the links from this past month’s writings, especially for those that are looking forward to see what else I’ll be doing for September.
Contest for September

For the month of September, if you leave a comment, email me, or like me on Facebook you will be entered in a drawing to win 1 Kindle Fire 2 ! That’s right, you will receive a Kindle Fire for your comments, likes, and whatever. This is no joke, you will be receiving a brand new Kindle Fire 2 to enjoy all the movie streaming, book reading, porn watching and web surfing that you can handle.
If you are out there and reading this, I need you. I need guest bloggers to network horror movie sites with and to present writings from. If you want me to be a guest I can do that too, but this is a call to my fellow horror movie fans. If you want to rant about anything, I will give you the forum to do so! Come on down and write for me!
Patronize the Sponsors
I put up links to where you can purchase a lot of different things, and I could really use your help. If you are going to buy something already, go check out the deals and what not that I have listed, I will receive a cut, you will receive your goods at no extra cost and I can finally save up for that dot com and podcast for Scary Film Review. If not, that’s ok. I know times are tough.
The past Month
The past month I’ve upped the number of posts that I’ve made, and I’ve tried hard to keep this thing going. For September you can expect more of the same, and then some. I’m toying with double posts, but it probably won’t happen. I will however be posting more “articles” in regards to horror and what not, because I need the traffic and right now the readership is low, and would love to have more readers and eventually rent out a theater in Los Angeles for a special screening of “Silent Night Deadly Night”. Now that’s a dream….sadly.

From The Mailbag Mid Month August 2010
I know, it seems way too soon for the middle of the month, but we're about there. I pulled the trigger on this because I've had these comments in my inbox for a while and I got tired of looking at them. So I decided, why not?
A quick update, I've been playing a lot of poker on face book, wishing I had a real job, and maybe some friends to chat with on aim. So far, no go...on all fronts. Oh and I've learned that I suck at poker.
Anonymous said in regards to my "Child's Play Review":
I totally love the Chucky films but I think Childs play 3 ruined them a bit.
Part 3 ruined them? Did you see part 4,5, and 6? Yep...terrible.
Anonymous said in regards to "Brainscan Review":
My favourite Horror Film.
Really? Your favorite? Edward Furlong has really fallen off, but this one was technically cool. I think it's a great example of being ahead of its time. I liked it enough, and I think that many people miss such good films...not saying this one was THAT good, but I guess. I like it now.
That's the end of that folks. Two comments, 400+ posts, several years and running.
I just wish I had a few bucks for all the movies I've been watching. Or comments...in fact, anything to show that people are reading.
I'm going to get back to looking for a new job, I've been unemployed and freelancing for 10 months...sadly.
**Note, this was posted on a thursday...but was meant for a friday...so friday if you see no update...blame me for working on the site at 5 am instead of sleeping...sigh...

From the Mail Bag End of July 2010 Edition
With the end of July comes another set of comments from you, the fine readers. Despite my constant requests for you to comment, for me to visit your sites, and much more, I still seem to not be getting anywhere. I wish I had a few extra bucks to throw more contests and what not, but alas, I'm still broke and barely making it right now.

I hear ya loud and clear.
iZombie left this comment on my post about the "Black Devil Doll Bobblehead":
Welcome to Horror Blogger Alliance [HBA] I am just stopping by to say hello, "Hello", I am the unofficial "Welcome Wagon"... great things await you here at the club...
Stop by to my zombie blog, walk around, get infected...
Jeremy [iZombie]
Jeremy, thanks! And thank you for the nice welcome wagon to the Horror Blogger Alliance. I've been trying to get into an alliance of horror bloggers for a while now but people aren't so welcoming. Furthermore, I've tried to get in good with the League of Tana Tea Drinkers and they continually ignore me. I'm beginning to think I'm the black sheep of horror movie bloggers. At least the L.A.M.B still likes me.
Thanks again, you have a cool site; I love zombies.
Trick or Treat Pete said in regards to my "The Final Review":
Sigh...think I will pass on this and watch Elephant again instead, which if you have not seen yet, I highly recommend.
Dreaded Dreams
Petunia Scareum
Yes, pass on it. Unless you absolutely love punishment and torture. There are some shades of brilliance, but they are just that; shades.
That is the end of the month comments for this month. Thanks again for all the comments and thanks for those that continue to read and comment on this petty blog of mine. I'm trying hard to continue, even with a limited line up of films to review and no money to speak of.
